When you complete a task there are a number of functions are processed automatically by YMS to keep all your data up to date. Here's what you can expect:
The Task is Marked as Complete
Once you've completed a task, it is marked as complete and disappears from the Tasks modules.
Equipment Running Hours Are Updated (if required)
If the task was related to Equipment that monitors hours, those hours are updated automatically.
Equipment hours will only increase if the new hours are higher than the current hours. Completing a task retrospectively with lower hours won’t reduce the existing equipment hours.
The Schedule is Updated
The schedule from which the task is derived will be updated with next due date and due hours, per the schedules pattern.
Spares Are Deducted from Inventory
If any spare parts were used, YMS will reduce your stock levels automatically.
The parts used are also recorded on the Log Entry.
A Log Entry Is Created
YMS creates a Log Entry accessible from the Maintenance History Module containing all the information you entered on Task completion.
Attachments, Photos & Comments Are Reallocated
Any Attachments, Photos or Comments you've added to the task are automatically moved to the newly created Log Entry.
