✨ New Features
Quick Add Equipment - Based on customer feedback, we’ve introduced a dedicated utility to quickly add multiple pieces of equipment into YMS. This utility allows you to “remember” chosen data points so that similar equipment can be added rapidly using keyboard navigation. This dramatically improves the speed at which you can enter data into YMS.
Checklist Observations - You can now record an observation against an individual check within a checklist. This allows you to capture important information that does not result in a failed check but is still valuable to reference when reviewing previously completed checks.
Equipment Checks - A new “Checks” tab has been added to the Equipment detail form. This tab allows you to review all previously completed checks for a piece of equipment. By separating checks from the Maintenance History, you can ensure safety checks are properly tracked without cluttering your maintenance records.
🛠️ Improvements
Log Entry Checks Tab - The Checks tab in the Log Entry detail form has been redesigned to display more information, including a new icon that indicates whether an observation has been recorded against a check. This makes it easier to review checklist history at a glance.
List Utility Ordering- Indexing has been improved to automatically repair lists that were not correctly indexed in previous versions.
List Utility Permissions - Access to the List Utility is now controlled by the “Application Administrator” user permission. Only Application Admins can manage the items available in lists, helping to ensure that values remain standardized and cannot be unintentionally modified.
Beverages Tree View - The manufacturer is now displayed in the Beverages tree views, making it easier to differentiate between similar beverages from different brands.
🐞 Bug Fixes
In Category and Location tree views (particularly within Inventory), adding or modifying data would sometimes prevent users from scrolling to the bottom of the tree. This has been resolved.
Scrolling through long lists of comments on certain screen sizes no longer prevents you from reaching the oldest comments.
The comment author was not being displayed correctly in the comments tabs throughout the application. This has now been resolved.
For some users, task due dates were displayed as one day off in the Equipment Detail forms Tasks tab compared to other parts of the application. This inconsistency has been corrected.
Certain calendar-based equipment schedules linked to equipment that tracked hours were incorrectly highlighted red indicating that they were due/overdue. This issue has now been resolved.
📢 Update Notes for Users
After the update, you can access the new Quick Add Equipment utility via the Add button. The button is now split: click the smaller section with the ⚡ lightning bolt icon to use the quick-add option. We’d love your feedback on where else this functionality would be most useful in YMS.
Users completing checklists should look out for the new observation icon 💬 , which allows them to add an observation directly to a check when completing a checklist.
Administrators should confirm that List Utility permissions are correctly configured for users, as only Application Administrators can now manage list values in the list utility.
