Equipment - Monitoring Hours
Track Equipment Running Hours with confidence. This guide explains how to configure Equipment to track running hours which are used to drive Hours based Equipment Schedules AKA Planned Maintenance.
Configure Equipment to Monitor Hours
To configure Equipment to Monitor hours, navigate to the desired Equipment and open its detail form. Check the “Monitor Hours” Checkbox and Save changes.

To Update Equipment Hours from the detail form press the “Update Hours“ button.

Enter the meter reading and press Save to update the Equipment's Current Hours.
Updating Equipment Hours
In addition to updating the Equipment hours from the Equipment's Detail Form there are a number of other ways to Update Equipment hours.
Use the Update Hours utility in the Equipment module to quickly update equipment hours in bulk, ideal for daily rounds. Click Update Equipment Hours in the top-right corner of the Equipment Module to open a dialog showing all hour-tracking equipment.

You can also update equipment hours when completing a task or adding a log entry to equipment that monitors hours, just enter the Current Equipment Hours from the Meter reading when prompted.
Equipment hours will only update if the value entered is higher than the current equipment hours. When adding a retrospective log entry, enter the meter reading as it was at the time the work was completed to keep your maintenance history accurate.
