Inventory - Spares For Equipment

If the Inventory you are adding is a Spare part for Equipment tracked in YMS, you should assign it as a spare for that Equipment.

Assigning Inventory as a Spare makes it easier to review the spares for the Equipment you're working on. When adding spares to a Task or Log Entry, Inventory linked to the related Equipment is shown first, making selection of spares quick and easy.

Assigning Inventory as Spares

To Assign Inventory as a Spare for Equipment, select the “SPARE FOR EQUIPMENT” tab and click the ADD button.

From the “Add Equipment” Dialog, use the search bar to locate and select the desired Equipment using the check boxes, then press Save. (You can add Multiple Equipment at once.)

This assigns the Inventory as a Spare for the Selected Equipment which will now appear in the “SPARE FOR EQUIPMENT” Tab.
