Inventory - Storage Locations
Once you have created a piece of Inventory in YMS and added its details you will need to allocate a storage location, this defines where you keep this Inventory onboard your vessel.
Adding Inventory to a Storage Location
Select the Inventory you wish to add a storage location to.
In the Summary Tab, Scroll down to the Storage Locations accordion and click the + ADD button.

This will open the “Add Storage Location“ Dialog.

Enter all the details;
Location - The storage location.
Serial Number - If the Inventory has one.
Amount - Current amount of the selected Inventory that is stored at this location.
Max - Maximum amount of the selected inventory that you want to keep in this location.
Expire Date - If the Inventory expires, enter the earliest expiration date here.
Default Location - Selects this as the default Location for the Inventory.
Press Save and you have created a Storage allocation for the selected Inventory, this will be displayed under the Storage Locations accordion.
Top Tip: Each inventory item can have only one default location. This location is used automatically when:
Inventory is deducted during task completion
Inventory is added when receiving items via a Purchase Order
Multiple Storage Locations
Each inventory item can be stored in multiple locations, follow the same steps as above to add additional storage locations. This will result in the additional Locations appearing under the Storage Locations accordion as seen below.

Editing a Storage Allocation
Adjust Amount at Location
Use the “+” & “-“ Buttons on the Location Cards to Quickly Adjust the amount at a location.
Edit the Storage Allocation
Click the Edit Button to open the Storage Allocation Dialog where you can move the inventory to a different location, edit the amount or any other details as needed.
Delete the Storage Allocation
Click the Red Delete Button to remove this Storage Allocation, the Storage allocation and the amount will be deleted.
